WHAT HUBBERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT CO-LIVING AT THE HUB
“We call this place Hotel California”, says Vikram Bhat, one of the people who live here at The Hub.
It’s extremely apparent that the people who co-live here at The Hub love this place without a doubt, that being said we move on to see why. There are a multitude of reasons why co-living is a preferred form of living amongst millennials but that’s no surprise. At the rate of growth of population and need for convenient living, owning a house is not an option because of the need to travel, lack of help and time to maintain the house and so on. The flexibility of shared accommodation is another major selling point. For example, those wanting to be geographically mobile in terms of occupation are not tied down to their own property.
Coming home to a place filled with people who share your thoughts and interests has a huge impact on your life as well because when you’re living in a shared space, space isn’t the only thing that you share. For example, say you just got through a long week at work and all you can think of is how you’re going to go home and blow off a little steam over the weekend but not long before you start planning your relaxing weekend, you’re haunted by the thought of that giant pile of chores that you put away for the weekend and now your former exciting weekend seems like a burden. But when you’re co-living, chores are just about the least of your problems, the more pressing ones being those you will love solving such as how to relax, which new restaurant to visit, which new movie to watch and so on. In addition to this, you will always have people to accompany you as most others share similar work schedules. This makes you look forward to the weekend and since you are now all relaxed and happy, you’re ready to go back to work the next week and do your best knowing that your mates are waiting back home for you to celebrate over the weekend.
All this being said, let’s take a look at the lives of two people who live here at The Hub. One of them is an orthopedist and the other is an artist. They both live completely different lives but one thing they have in common is the fact that they came down with the intention of living here for about a month and now A YEAR LATER they cannot leave. This speaks for itself and gives us a clear picture of what it’s like to be a part of a community with a chill vibe, no landlord breathing down your neck and utmost flexibility and privacy.
So there you go whether you’re an orthopedist with stringent timings or an artist always on the lookout for inspiration, be sure that you will find a home here at The Hub and make lasting friendships with the people that live here with a side of convenience and flexibility like no other. No wonder they call it Hotel California because it’s such a lovely place and you just can’t leave.
