Lalamove is an on-demand logistics company in Asia that matches drivers with customers and SME businesses to fulfill same day deliveries. Lalamove’s mission of making local deliveries faster and simpler is achieved through innovations including instant order matching, real-time GPS vehicle tracking, 24/7 service, and a driver rating system. Lalamove allows these businesses to quickly scale their deliveries and operations at an accelerated rate.
Originally known as EasyVan, Lalamove was launched to satisfy a specific logistical need — van hiring. Started in Hong Kong in December 2013, Lalamove now operates in 100+ cities across China and Southeast Asia. Today, Lalamove unceasingly matches 15,000,000 registered customers with a pool of 2,000,000 drivers of vans, trucks and motorcycles.
The Lalamove way has revolutionized old van hiring call centers to being so streamlined, customers and drivers match with each other within 12 seconds. Local deliveries are fulfilled at a breakneck 55 minutes, door-to-door. Providing reliable and quick deliveries for customers, Lalamove also optimizes drivers fleet and route to maximize their earning potential.
With their recent entry into the Indian Market, this Hong Kong-based on-demand logistics startup, has closed a $300 million Series D round as it seeks expansion across Asia. In doing so, the company has officially entered the unicorn club.
Operations are in full flow in Mumbai and now they’ve setup shop in Bengaluru. And boy did they pick the right office space to get the ball rolling! The Hub plays an important role in their expansion strategy as it serves as their HQ in the city and also serves as a training and storage center for all their drivers! On a daily basis we see over 80 trainees walk through our doors.
They definitely want a piece of the of the $160 billion logistics industry in India and have already on-boarded 2,000 trucks and 8,000 two-wheelers within a month.
Within a fortnight of relaunching our space, all our private offices have been snapped up by unique startups, each from a different domain! We are also proud to say that our community has been instrumental for a handful of solopreneurs. One of our startups recently got acquired by one of the largest advertising agencies in the country!
