It’s raining cats, dogs and good spirits in Bangalore!

Before we hop right into it, here’s a little something you should know about the Fluffynut Foundation. What started as an initiative to raise funds for two little ailing pups in 2016, quickly went on to make adoption possible, emerged under the Indie Guardian’ Trust, and have had 700 animals adopted so far!

Now, for those of you who didn’t catch The Hub Bengaluru’s insanely adorable Instagram Live with Fluffynut, furry not- here’s what went down!

Besides the most heart-warming guest appearances by Cookie the Labrador, Joel the Hamster and many more of our furry friends, this Instagram Live introduced Fluffynut’s ‘Feeders Fund Campaign’ to the viewers. Curated in support of COVID-19 lockdown, this initiative raises funds to support animal feeders spread all across Bangalore. In response to the hike in expenses and an unfortunate abandoning of several animals during the virus, Fluffynut collaborated with 12 verified animal feeders to provide home cooked meals to over 2000 animals per week!

Saad Paasha, the host for the evening and a chief member of the foundation discussed ways in which pet owners could keep their animals active during the lock-down. He informed the viewers about the distribution of clean water bowls throughout the city to prevent strays from consuming unhealthy liquids.

Besides this, the session also introduced the viewers to virtual adoption, and featured the foster parents and their rescued pets that were up for adoption. “Nobody deserves to go hungry”, said Sumreen, an avid animal lover who’s adopted more than a 100 pets! The Live also included actress, special educator and singer, Madhuri Braganza, who spoke about how social media can be the best place to connect pets and people looking to adopt. She further gave a shout-out to Fluffynut for being the voice of the voiceless.

By the end of the session, Namma Bengaluru graciously participated in the cause and the Live raised a total of Rs 15,500!

Now, if you’re reading this and wishing you participated, we’ve got news- you still can! You can make your donations via Paytm, Whatsapp or Google Pay through the contact details shared on Fluffynut Foundation’s social media pages.

While we celebrated a purr-fectly successful evening, we stay grateful to our viewers who help us make a difference through our initiatives, and help us spread the paw-sitive vibes!

Thank you, and we’ll be back with so much more!
